"Throw Away That Degree Otherwise You Will Die Poor” – Open Letter to Nigerian Youths

”Throw Away That Degree Otherwise You Will Die Poor” – Open Letter to Nigerian Youths" is a must read for all Youths in Nigeria.

Below is mind bugging open latter to Nigerian youths from “TIMOTHY REX GOMA”

Most of the educated people in Nigeria are poor. Majority of the educated earn less than N55,000 for a salary before tax and other deductions.

When the deductions are put into consideration, the net salary comes to around N50,000. The net salary then suffers from loan deductions of up to N15,000 leaving the salary at around N35,000. The landlord then demands for his N15,000 and monthly shopping takes away N10,000 leaving one with a N10,000.

The bus will demand for N300 going to and from work and relatives get another N2,500. The whole salary is gone and borrowed money starts operating. The borrowed money includes short loans and salary advances.

The difference between poverty and prosperity is property. A prosperous person has property to his name while a poverty stricken person has no property to show. Using this understanding, therefore, most of the degree holders are poverty stricken, borrowing money to buy chicken and chips, pizza, and a car.

The biggest excuse for getting paid such low amounts of money and having to sit and work for another person for 30 days is THE DEGREE that one possesses and that’s all.

This has made most of the degree holders very poor to poverty stricken and will die that way most likely. A degree holder does not know how to generate money unless that money is generated for the employer. A degree holder is so dependent on the salary that he can do anything to get a job but will not think of starting a business of his own to employ others.

Interesting Facts!

1. A degree holder is not prepared to sell chips but is very happy to work for hungry lion (companies).

2. A degree holder is not prepared to sell popcorn in the street but is very happy to work for Dangote outlet in the city and mum river-sides.

3. A degree holder is not prepared to sell second hand clothes but is very happy to be employed by Zenith Bank which the business of selling stocks and looking for customers in a scorching Sun.

4. A degree holder is not prepared to make N150,000 monthly doing his own business but is very happy to work at the till in a bank getting paid N25,000.

5. A degree holder is not prepared to start a company and grow it in two to three years but will spend three years searching for a job.

6. A degree holder is not prepared to sell food to students but will be happy to be reporting to a boss with no qualifications as Office Assistant as long as he is paid N30,000 for a salary.

7. A degree holder is so eager to get out of this country and work in another country than spend time to develop his own country.

8. A degree holder staying in a foreign land (Nigerian) is very keen to condemn Nigeria but never contributing to the development of this country.

9. A Nigerian degree holder would rather sweep the streets of London or USA than start a business to make money in her father land – others work in people’s homes doing some work (cleaners).

10. A degree holder in Nigeria will watch porn on his laptop but never sit to write a book using the same laptop to sell and make money.

11. A degree holder will blame the government for lack of jobs even after he was on government bursary for him to have his degree.

12. Nigeria is blessed with young people who have master’s degree and others are doctors in different technical fields such as IT and Engineering but all of them have failed to create a cartoon character or develop a movie from the same instead very happy to buy Tom and Jerry for their children thereby promoting American and UK.

A school I visit, there is a man that is of very humble background. He does not speak English but sells Coke, Fanta and Sprite at N80 each making a profit of N10 on each drink. He also sells chips at N50 making a profit of N17 on each portion. Not less than 80 students buy chips and a drink every single day. This means he makes a profit of N27 for a drink and chips and a total profit of N2,160 per day…every single day. In ten days he makes a profit of N21,600 in twenty days N43,200 and in thirty days N64,800.

The degree holder working in a bank at the till gets a salary of N45,000 every month.

Why are the degree holders poor?

Because they have decided to pride themselves in a degree and failed to think better than a man who does not have even a certificate to his name.

Degree holders spend their time liking articles on linkedIn and facebook but never have any care in the world to implement what they like. Poverty starts from the mind, a mind that just likes things but never to implement those things.

If you want to progress, keep that degree and start thinking better than someone without a degree. There’s no white collar Job anywhere bro!

Be prepared to get your hands dirty and work like an ox for your business. Your hard work will pay off.

Yours Sincerely. ..

Today, his post again, gained so much reactions as he declares to give two outstanding Entrepreneurs $100,000 each.

Find his post as posted by him below:

Now for some news you've been waiting for...
__Who will work for me in January?

Next week we'll finally launch the competition to choose two people who will be the inaugural Kwesé Entrepreneur Fellows. Working from the Kwesé offices in Johannesburg, they'll win an opportunity to interact with me and some of my team on a daily basis.

These two people (one of whom must be a woman) will also be given an opportunity to pitch for a $100,000 investment into their idea (business or social).

(We hoped to get started earlier this year, but putting together a process has not been easy because we've all been very busy!)

Anyway, in preparation let me tell the people who are interested in participating, they must appreciate that it will be a very rigorous process!

Anyone can win (they don't have to be university graduates or highly educated, or even have an existing enterprise of their own). We are interested in someone who is very hard working, methodical and diligent.

The eventual two winners will be selected by followers on this platform acting as a "Shark Tank" type panel, who will then (like investors) vote for whom they think I should give $100,000.

Contestants will be taken through a two-stage process in which they must show complete knowledge about Kwesé services, based on what I have said about them, and what is on all our websites. They will need to have a very good understanding of Kwesé programming. You don't have to own a decoder to have such knowledge as all the information is on our websites and Apps.

If a participant gets to Stage Two by passing the programming test (a series of four quizzes over several weeks) then they will then be required to prepare a pitch on their own business or social enterprise in a short video.

If you or someone you know is interested, they can begin right away to prepare for Stage One. The information on the quizzes is available to those who can study and answer questions (which will be posted regarding on knowledge from these three websites and apps):

# Kwese.com
# Kwese.Espn.com
# Kwesefied.com
# Kwesé app
# Kwesé Free Sport app

People who have Kwesé decoders can also participate in this competition by going to the Kwese.com website where the questions will be posted.

# Remember anyone can answer these questions. You don't have to be in Africa to participate. You can attempt from anywhere in the world. And if you win, we will bring you to Africa!

We will pay the full cost of tickets and accommodation during the two week stay with our organization.

Let the battle begin!

End.

I believe you can win this. Apply and Win as Strive Masiyiwa to give $100000 to two young entrepreneurs in Africa. I hope this post is helpful. Good luck.

EKSUSU Election: SUG President, Aridiogo David, Released a Press Text

BEING A PRESIDENTIAL PRESS TEXT RELEASED ON THE JUST CONDUCTED EKSU STUDENTS' UNION ELECTION AND THE CONTROVERSIES THEREAFTER

Fellow Eksuites, I have decided to react to the various calls and threat messages that I have received after the just conducted Student's Union ELECTION, as a way of lending my voice to fellow students and the general public because of posterity.

I am doing this because of the innocent member of public or students who may ignorantly buy into their lies and may have a wrong impression about me or what transpired during, before and after the election.

They are active on Social media de-ranking the university name. Students have forgotten that they will still be the one to make use of the certificate, they are using the students challenges to get cheap popularity on Social media.

The election was conducted on August 3, 2017 under the leadership of our respected Dean of Students Prof. W. O. Adebayo and students came out in large numbers to cast their votes for their preferred candidates.

All I did as the President was to exercise my franchise just like every other students by voting for my candidate on that day. In the evening of Thursday, for reason I cannot fathom, the election result was not announced.

I tried to reach the Dean of Students and VC to know what went wrong but none of them were able to give me any response. Not until the Saturday day when, I was told by one the presidential aspirant that there were allegations of election irregularities during the electioneering period by some candidates and their agents and that the election cannot stand.

Students were outraged and angry but I tried to appeal to them not because I am afraid of protest but because I believe in peaceful resolution of conflict.

Also am not so that spft but due to fact that some students are clamoring for theirs exams to holds on Monday and for peace to continue to reign that is why I silent since on Friday.

Let the public know today that I Aridiogo David Olaitan aka Aruson supported Hardvize and worked for him tirelessly in this election and Sandra and other well meaning Nigerian students who supported him should bear witness to my claim.

Although, supporting hardvize does not mean that my support can single handedly guarantee his emergence since I am equally a student who is constrained by laws governing the University.

To me, I believe I have done the best I could do for him as a friend and fellow Comrade and that I supported Hardvize does not mean I hated Marcus or Bright or Ajiro. They are all my comrades and friends too. Unfortunately, politics is a game of interest.

We shall therefore not abdicate our responsibility with synergy to always work with all of you (Good and reasonable stakeholders) when the need arises in our collective aspirations to become one of the most vibrant students' union amongst others in all State Universities in Nigeria. This is our dream.

More importantly, I want to appreciate those who contested for various positions during the election. I say without equivocation that there was no victor and no vanquish.

OUR STAND STUDENTS

🎤Eksuites should remain calm and be patient as Eksu-Sug and stakeholder meet with the School management tomorrow Monday 06/08/2017 to demand for Declaration of the 2017/2018 SUG Election and also to gather vital information of 2016/2017 Examinations

🎤Entire Students' of Eksu appeal to the school management to pay off the staff of the university so that we will be able to Start our examinations this week.

MY ADVICE TO EKSU MANAGEMENT

Democracy as a system of government preaches freedom and electoral practices devoid of intimidation or any form of oppression. In view of this assumption, the University system anywhere in the world is expected to replicate this practice as a way of entrenching democratic culture among the students who are the leaders of tomorrow.

We hereby appeal to the University Management to quickly look into the issues surrounding the election and declare the winner.

MY ADVICE FOR THE STUDENTS

This is a trying period for us. I want to appeal to all of us to maintain our calm as we envisage a positive news from the school management on the result of the election and for vital information on when examination will holds.

Eksuites should please stay reduce the rate of making use of social media because history will tell on everyone of us and it will not have any effect on the school management, it will only have effect on us because we will be the one to make use of this certificate.

Hardvise, ajiro, Marcos and b-bright are friends and they will continue to be friends. So please don't let us create enemies between ourself. Thank you for usual co-operation and God bless you all.
I wish you all the very best in your exams.

MY ADVICE FOR EKSU ASUU, NASU, SSANU , NAAT

Our leaders, Lecturers Fathers, Mothers and teachers, we are pleading with all of you to show understanding with the school management even when we are not in support of nonpayment of your salaries. It is believed that the best approach now is to show cooperation so that Students in final year can graduate and Meet with next NYSC Batch.
I plead on behalf of Entire Students of Eksu you should consider us and let us write the examinations.
God bless you sir/ma.

ON A FINAL NOTE

As the outgoing Students Union President of Eksu, I want to say without any fear or favour that I am a fearless lion who fears no foe. I will continue to try my best to the best of my abilities and the enemies will continue to rant in their misfortune.

2016/2017 Examinations will not start tomorrow Monday 7/8/2017 due to the fact that ASUU will still need to holds resolution congress.
Am sorry if I have not being communicating through social media by Press Statement.

Eksu onibaje!

God bless Eksu
God bless Eksusu

Long live Ekiti State Nigeria

Aluta Continua...

Youth Arise: A Movement of Ordinary Nigerians Doing Extraordinary Things

After reading this communique, I felt a strong force in me to support the vision with my blog and I decided to offer CloudGossips for the propagation of the Vision.

Read the communique below and get inspired.

COMMUNIQUÉ ISSUED AT THE END OF THE YOUTH ARISE MEETING HELD AT YARD 158, OREGUN, LAGOS ON 17TH DECEMBER 2016.

The meeting started at about 5:15 Nigeria time with taken of the second stanza of the national anthem as the opening prayers. The meeting was moderated by Babajide Kolawole from Ekiti State Nigeria.

Attendance during the meeting was a total number of 29 members who came across the states of Nigeria especially the South West, South South and Niger Delta. Jide Kolawole appreciated the members who came from Uyo, Benin and Delta State for their nation building sacrifice. Mr Kayode Osunnubi from Ogun State briefed the meeting about the imperative, ideology and the vision of the movement.

In his briefing, he x-rayed leadership in all African nation and gave the average age of African leaders to be 65years, he posited that leadership has failed in Africa especially Nigeria and that the older generation has had their share in leading the nation and has proved beyond doubt that they lack the ideas, zeal and patriotism to build a great nation.

Hence, the youth being the larger percentage of the nation must rise from their slumber and decide to rescue the nation from valley of bad governance. He emphasized that youth must come together irrespective of their religion, ethnicity and educational background to wrestle with the nations principalities and power to get our nation back from the backward thinking leaders that has seized the instrumentalities of power for a long period of time without any record of achievement.

He concluded that Youth Arise 2019 is not a platform formed by ambition or personal interest but a front for a more calculated youth participation with a vision not to support old politician but to support and front the introduction of young Nigerians with great idea, passion, strength, patriotism and zeal to deliver leadership devoid of personal interest but greatly motivated by the interest of the people and the mindset of heralding a great revolution of the mind that will change the political landscape of the country.

Olawale Kadri from Ekiti State was called by the moderator to brief the meeting on where we are. In his response he maintained that the nation has been

dragged into an abyss of humanistic regression through visionless and purposeless leadership and we have only two options to choose from, either to seat down and continue to watch while complaining and wailing especially on the social media or stand up and fight to bequeath of children a better nation. He said that we have decided to back our words with action and the revolution is already starting. He posited that since we don’t have the weapon to win a war, we can win an election if we strategically position ourselves to wrestle power and connect with all other youths in the country.

He said we are more than them, and we can win them (referring to the old generation leaders) Currently we are extending the movement to our friends across all other geo-political zones and the report has been overwhelming, he stressed that Kano and Abuja comrades who believed in the ideas and ideology of the movement has started mobilizing and we shall start visiting each state to meet with other young Nigerian with the intention of extending the frontiers of the movement.

Kolawole Babajide buttressed further that while we are creating awareness and meeting people to extend the frontier of the movement, we’ll continue to engage in value addition activities by training the youths, educating them and empowering them to be self reliance through skill acquisition programmes and solution focused event.

The floor was opened for opinion and good will messages and members gave suggestions and opinion to move the organization forward.

DECISION EXTRACT:
1. That Youth Arise must engage in mass awareness and extension drive through communication of the movement ideology, ideas, vision and programmes to the larger society
2. Visitations to States where youth has shown interest starting from Oyo State, Abuja and Kano in the first quarter of next year.
3. That campus activation of revolutionary mind must start in earnest.
4. That we must always publicly identify with the yearnings and aspiration of the people through our actions and programmes.
5. That personal interest must not be our driving force but the general interest of the Nigerian people through provision of policy alternatives and outline a blue print for the movement in preparation for leadership.
6. That a social media platforms be created to further acclimatize people with our ideology, ideas and visions.
7. That we must engage every means possible to support the not too young bill until it becomes law
8. That consultation to join a political party where we can build together must start in earnest as we cannot get political power without political platform. However such platform must be a platform where we’ll join in building from the scratch as youth may not be able to compete with the money bags, corrupt Nigerians and old generation in all the already established political parties.
9. That we must get a legal consultant to handle our litigations
10. That we must be ready to sacrifice all for the revolution ahead as it may means some night in police net, some bullets in some chest and some days, month, years in the jail.

The meeting therefore collapsed into round table get to know better and discussions. The meeting was adjourned till a date to be announced and in Ibadan, Oyo State, after adjournment motion had been validly moved.

Please note this is not a minute of the meeting but a communiqué and decision extract.

Signed: All members present.
