Who wins Big Brother Naija today... Tobi, Miracle, Cee C, Nina or Alex?

As the Big Brother Naija 2018 reality show tagged ‘Double Wahala’ comes to an end tomorrow, and the social media agog with campaigns and posters of the lasting five housemates who made it to the final week inundating fans of the show, the question begging answer is, who among the five remaining contestants will walk away with grand prize of N20million cash and an SUV valued at N25million, thus bringing the total package to N45million.

The five housemates, who are standing a chance at the ultimate grand prize, are Tobi Bakre (Tobi), Asogwa Alexandra Amuche Sandra (Alex), Miracle Ikechukwu Igbokwe (Miracle), Chinonso Nina (Nina) and Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee-C).

With Anto, Lolu and Khloe eviction last Sunday, the build up to tomorrow’s grand finale and live show has been drama filled with clashes, tension, intrigues and emotional moments in the Big Brother house.

The final showdown like the edition, See Gobbe, has seen celebrities drum support for their favourite candidates. Leading the squad is Omo Baba Olowo, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, who has come to support Tobi. He took to his Twitter page writing: “Team TEAM TOBI for the win.”

Another celebrity who has pitched her tent with the former Heritage Bank staff is Nollywood actress, Liz Anjorin. On her Instagram page, she wrote “Tobi Bakre for the money. Tobi Bakre is (O.B.A) Omo Baba Alanu not (O.B.O) Omo Baba Olowo. To me, my cutest Tobi Bakre is working hard to earn a living. We can all see how brilliant, smart and eloquent Tobi is.

“Please, lets join hands and show him pure love to make him win. Please, I’m begging you nooni, if truly you want your children to be smart and brilliant like Tobi Bakre, oya help me vote my son.”

Simi Esiri, wife of singer, Dr Sid, who has been a staunch supporter of Tobi wrote: “Honestly I’m blown away with how well he’s done so far. It’s the last stretch now and we can see that Tobi genuinely has a shot at winning #BBNaijaGuys let’s vote for him because he has played the game fair and square.

“He has won numerous tasks and been Head of house more than three times and apart from the game, Tobi has been a gentleman and legit friend to everyone in the house. He’s a REAL G and deserves to win.”

Actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, seems to be torn between Miracle and Tobi. On his Instagram page, he wrote: “On a more serious note, the Toracle brothers (Tobi and Miracle) are cool and special. Big Brother Naija is just a game, let’s enjoy it and remove sentiments. May the best TORACLE man win.”

Also supporting Tobi is Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson, who said he was supporting the five-time BBNaija Head of House and expects him to win. The Actor on his Twitter page wrote: “Fully supporting/voting Tobi. He did the work, now it’s time for us to get him that cash! Vote please for him to win. Tweets and comments don’t count.”

Singer, Orezi also pitched his tent for Tobi to emerge winner of the show. He wrote “TEAM Tobi for the win. Tobi for the money.”

For DJ Exclusive it is Miracle, as he wrote on his twitter page: “MIRACLE!! Winner of BBNaija ‘DOUBLE WAHALA 2018!!!

Last Sunday live show took off with a performance from Mavin Record’s Reekado Banks, who performed his latest single ‘Like’. Biggie, always with an ace up his sleeves, asked the housemates to move to the arena, where they were to have their final wager challenge.

The housemates were asked to pick a suitcase each from 10 suitcases holding various gift items including a cash prize. If a housemate picked the suitcase with the cash prize, the wager would be lost. Miracle picked the suitcase with the money thus winning the cash prize, even as the housemates now get to spend their last week in the house without their wager.

The housemates were up for even more surprises as they each received a video message from their loved ones back home wishing them well on the final leg of the show.

Meanwhile, during the week, feud between Cee-C and Tobi reached an all time low, as angry Cee-C stomped around the BBNaija house firing insults at Tobi, on Wednesday, thus drawing reactions from viewers of the show.

For her action was issued a warning strike for going berserk on fellow housemate. She verbally attacked Tobi, and challenged him to a fight. Tobi on his part received a word of advise from Biggie.

It would be recalled that Tobi and Cee-C (Ceebi) developed a relationship after Biggie paired the housemates together. However, the estranged housemates have not been on talking terms since the beginning of their complicated feud.

At the initial stage of their relationship, Cee-C constantly taunts Tobi with false accusations and mind games, while he always apologised to her at every accusation made.

The line was drawn earlier in the show when Cee-C accused Tobi of sexually assaulting her during one of her anger episodes. Tobi debunked the allegations, and this brought to an end to their relationship in the house. Since falling out with Cee-C, Tobi moved on and became close friends with Anto and Alex much to the annoyance of Cee-C.

Cee-C had early on Wednesday begun insulting Tobi claiming he has been gossiping about her. She described him as a ‘useless, miserable fool’, and accused him of relating with every female in the house. “You are a man and you cannot stand on your own,” she said.

Prior to the Wednesday melodrama, there was a twist in the Head of House challenge on Monday. Unlike when the housemates will go into the arena and play a game of chance, Biggie asked them to choose from either a housemate who has either had the least opportunity or the most experience in leading the House.

Miracle put Cee-C’s name up, trying to be fair towards everyone, Alex disputing the nomination suggested it be put to a vote. Cee-C, who has never had the opportunity to be Head of House, missed out on the opportunity when they decided to vote on it. Nina emerged Head of House after the vote.

Having flouted the Biggie’s directive, which did not go well with him, the housemates were given 90 minutes to reverse the choice. They were given the option to choose from either Cee-C or Tobi in the space of minimal time.

Tobi having won the highest number of Head of House challenge and Cee-C none opted out of the race, hence leaving Cee-C as the choice. However, barely 12 hours after her ascendance to the throne, Cee-C was on Wednesday dethroned from being the Head of House following her verbal attack on Tobi earlier in the day. With the development, Biggie ordered for new election. Alex was chosen as the new Head of House.

As if the ‘gods’ affirmed their approval of Alex’s ascension to the throne, she alongside Miracle won the ‘Close-Up Teeth Task’ last Thursday. Biggie asked the housemates to prepare for their presentation, first by creating groups as they were to present the task in these groups.

Alex and Cee-C was the first pair to present their task piece. Alex presented her bae issues, mentioning how her boyfriend always has her brush her teeth before a kiss.

Cee-C then gave Alex some brushing advice, alerting her that there are very damaging and ineffective brushing methods that lead to oral problems. She also offered her some Close-up products like tooth paste and tooth brushes.
Next was Miracle and Nina (Alpha). Miracle was to go on a date and his brother advised him to cover his mouth when talking to the ‘babe’ who in this case was Nina, and it looked like he too needed some Close-up intervention.

Miracle tried hard to keep his mouth covered while talking to the babe (Nina) but his hand gave in and the odour escaped, having Nina leave him right there. His ‘brother’ offered him a range of Close-up products in order to rectify his mouth odour problem but advised him to get rid if his father’s toothbrush. Miracle heeded to his brother’s advice and got his own brush, it was then that Nina obliged to a second date and scored himself a bae.

Tobi and Cee-C was the third pair to make their presentation. Tobi tried to chase his singing dreams but ended up being chased off the stage because of his smelly mouth. His babe offered some Close-up products and he made come back with a fresh breath. She also gave him more mouth health advice.

Up next was Miracle and Alex. Miracle tried to keep his odour from ruining his job interview but Alex insisted he speak and when he did, need we say more… Miracle decided to seek medical advise, and the doctor broke the odour dilemma down and advised him to use his new Close-up products instead of the toothbrush he’s been using since he was a kid. Miracle managed to kick the odour blues away and got his dream job.

Tobi and Nina (Omega) made the last presentation. Both had been tinder buddies for a while and decided to meet. Things however took a rather smelly turn when Nina uncovered her mouth, which resulted in Tobi running off. Dr. Tobi explained the odour issue and offered Nina a range of Close-up products to improve her chances of getting a kiss.

After all the presentations, Miracle and Alex (Delta) emerged as the winner of the challenge thereby bagging one million naira cash prize and N50,000 Close-up products worth.

Fayemi, not Fayose, bars from holding public office in Ekiti

Multi-Billion Naira Fraud: Ekiti bars Fayemi, other from holding public offices in state

A White Paper released by Ekiti State Government has barred a former governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, from holding a public office in the state for 10 years.

The state also barred his former Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Kolawole, for the same number of years.

The duo were barred based on the report of the Ekiti Judicial Commission of Inquiry, which indicted them over alleged mismanagement of the state’s finances between October 2010 and 2014.

Fayemi, now a Minister of Mines and Steel Development, was the governor during the stated period.

The report declared them “as unfit to hold any public office in the state.‎”
The Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by Ekiti State Government to look into the financial transactions of the state under the administration of Dr. Fayemi had said that the former governor must refund a sum of N2.75 billion allocated from the N25 billion bond obtained by the government for the execution of contract for the construction of Ultra-Modern market in Ado Ekiti, which was never executed.

The commission of inquiry also said that the contractor in respect of the furnishing of the government house built by the Fayemi’s administration should be made to refund a sum of N324.8 million, noting that the contract should not have been more than N280 million.

The panel said it found out that KITWOOD Nigeria Limited to which the furnishing contract of over N600 million was awarded had no traceable address and that “the address on the Letter of Award is a virgin land at opposite the new Central Bank along new Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.

These and several other revelations were made known when the commission of inquiry submitted its report to the State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose. The panel was headed by Justice Silas Oyewole (rtd).

On the purchase of vehicles, the panel said “claim by Coscharis Motors that it supplied 235 and/or 250 vehicles was fraudulent and that fraught with so many contradictions.

“That Coscharis Motors supplied some vehicles outside Ekiti State especially, at Ibadan Liaison office when Ekiti State Government does not have a Liaison office in Ibadan. In respect of this, seven vehicles were supplied outside the State and signed for by unknown persons.

That Coscharis Motors only supplied 219 vehicles to the Ekiti State government and that 17 Joylong Buses were supplied to the Ekiti State Government as gift but later carted away.”

On the controversial N852.9 State Universal Education Board (SUBEB) fund, the commission said it was clear that the Government of Dr Fayemi hoodwinked the federal government into paying its own matching grant by obtaining N852, 936,783.12 loan from Access Bank on November 25, 2013 without perfecting documentation in respect of the loan, thereby flouting the provisions of Section 11(2) of the UBEC Act, 2004.

#EndSARS: Atiku commended Nigeria youths

Atiku Abubakar has commended Nigerians for rising in unison to condemn alleged atrocities by the police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

Mr. Abubakar, a former vice-president and 2019 presidential hopeful, said harassment of citizens by policemen has no place in a democratic society.

“The arbitrary harassment of young Nigerians by Police (who should be protecting them) has no place in a democratic society,” Mr. Abubakar said.

The politician said he understood the plights of citizens who have been victims of alleged SARS brutality, especially the youth who are more vulnerable to harassment because SARS personnel often see them as Internet fraudsters whenever they carry laptops in their bags on the road.

“The #EndSARS protest shows Nigerian youth are upset and the matter needs urgent attention,” he said. “Everyday, we encourage our young people to become entrepreneurs. Buying a laptop to earn a living shouldn’t attract harassment.”

Mr. Abubakar’s reaction came a day after Nigerians started trending the #EndSARS hashtag to draw attention to alleged criminalities of SARS officers.

“I commend our young people for protesting these injustices peacefully online, and encourage the IG of @PoliceNG to take these complaints seriously.

“I also urge the National Assembly to look into these complaints, and address the human rights issues. Reforms are urgently needed,” Mr. Abubakar said.

A petition was also opened online for Nigerians to sign to force the National Assembly and President Muhammadu Buhari to scrap SARS and amend the police.

PREMIUM TIMES reported the campaign and how a police watchdog group, NOPRIN, had asked for SARS to be scrapped since 2010 after chronicling several cases of abuses by the department.

Police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, initially asked PREMIUM TIMES to ignore the campaigners, saying he would call back to give reactions to the allegations against SARS later on Saturday evening.

However, PREMIUM TIMES attempts to get his full reaction between Saturday night and Sunday morning didn’t work out as he didn’t pick phone calls.

Similarly, Hyacinth Dagala and Umar Shehu, the Deputy Inspector-General and Assistant Inspector-General in charge of Criminal Investigation Department, did not answer PREMIUM TIMES phone calls and text messages seeking their comments Sunday morning.

Is it true? Female suicide bombers attack Adamawa in Nigeria

Two female suicide bombers suspected to be Boko Haram members blew themselves up in what appears to be a failed mission at Magar village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state.

According to reports from witnesses in the area indicated that the two bombers who strapped improvised explosive devices on their bodies sneaked into the village in the early hours of Saturday but the explosives detonated before they could reach their targets. A woman was however injured in the blast.

The chairman of Madagali Local Government Area, Muhammad Yusuf, also confirmed the incident to journalists in a telephone interview

He said there were two separate explosions while a woman was injured by shrapnel. He added that the injured woman was receiving medical attention.

The spokesperson of the 28 Task Force Battalion in Mubi, Badare Akintoye said he was attending a course in Lagos and could not comment on the incident.

The attack is coming barely a week after insurgents abducted three young women from their farms in the area.

Madagali is one of the seven local govenment areas in Adamawa State that were controlled by Boko Haram between 2014 and 2015 .

Like other areas in the Northeast, it still experiences attacks on soft targets by the degraded terrorist group.

Why EFCC Twitter Handler Left: The True Story

You must have been wondering why the EFCC Twitter handler left EFCC. After EFCC disclosed their Twitter Handler, there were many reactions that followed.
EFCC Twitter handler
Some people said he was sacked while others said he must have had a bigger opportunity.

Nonetheless, EFCC posted the reason he left on their official Facebook page.

This was what they wrote:

EFCC Twitter Handler: Reason Why He Left
Olufemi Olukayode Adeyemi worked in the Public Affairs Directorate of the Commission since November 2014, where he exhibited his talent as a consummate professional.
Before moving on, he managed the twitter handle of the Commission; @officialEFCC amongst other assignments.
Adeyemi harboured personal dreams even before assuming duties at the Commission and he has now decided to fulfill those dreams.
Like a parent that finds joy in seeing a child grow, we are happy for Adeyemi because the Eagle must be allowed to soar.
And, like the Eagle that always maintains its nest, Adeyemi’s home remains the EFCC.
The world and Twitter have certainly not seen the last of "The Handler".

EKSU: Student Leader Arrested after Police vandalised students' hostels

Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado Ekiti, students Leader was arrested following an attack by the police in the school. EKSUSU Press reported the incidence as follows.

At about 3pm yesterday, there was an accident involving an okada man, who inflicted serious injury on a lady who is presently at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital. The highlight of the neglect or non-challant attitude of the okada man leaving the lady in that critical state made a concerned senator, Senator Hardvize to raise his voice against this inhuman treatment towards students.

This led to a fracas at satellite gate of the University as Okada men violently attacked the SUG president (known as Aruson), and a senator at EKSU student union level known as senator Hardvize.

Further on the scene, the deputy CSO of EKSU, forwarded a call to the SUG excos, to go settle things amicably in the Iworoko police station.

At the meeting, the DPO stressed the need for peace and unity among the okada riders and the student, much to the presence of Aruson led team and the excos of the okada riders.

While still at the meeting, the SUG EXCOS were called upon that the hooliganism of the okada men has taken a new dimension, as okada men inflicted wounds on different individuals at sporadic intervals.

This prompted the Aruson led team to leave the police station and call the paramilitary wing (cadet corps) of the University, to ensure the safety of Nigerian student.

On arrival at Osekita junction to observe and proffer solution to the ugly scene, the SUG excos received battering and sustained grievous injuries, much to the presence of the so-called gallant men of the police force. As they choose to be spectators, rather than a competitors for peace.

The number one citizen of the University, talking in person of student union president (Aruson) was seriously dealt with, together with his aides.

Later on, the police men who stood to watch, started firing tear gas on EKSUITEs, which caused some of the students to seek for safety through escape, causing students panics injuries, and health status of asthmatic patients in their various rooms was affected.

This fateful morning at exactly 5.00am when most of the students were sleeping peacefully in their room, they (students) were forced to wake up to deafening sounds of sirens blast of the Police force as the students later gathered this morning for a peaceful protest of "operation no okada." According to one of our sources, a vibrant comrade named "Megapinx" was attacked. He sustained a head injury, from a policeman who hit him with a gun on his head.

Few hours after, policemen launched teargas at will on students at various entry point into the University as students were arrested in their hostels which was meant to be their comfort zone; even when the gate was locked as police men jumped fences into hostel compounds of Friendlies hostel, F&F hostel among others to arrest students and harass them against their fundamental human right. CloudGossips was at the hostel scene and the picture below was taken at the F and F hostel.

The students hereby give a clarion and patriotic call to the State and Federal Government to come to the rescue of students of Ekiti State University as they are sons and daughters of this land, the future stakeholders of our nation to become a nation of pride in the 21st century.

Right now, as we report, the Students Leader and some others are still at the custody of the Police.

I have decided to write few here. you can read the details on SDK  Blog.

1-How come you are blaming your significant other for rape?people are stating you set him up.please clarify in the event that you caught him in the act or noise from the children.

- Is it conceivable to charge a PHD holder and a senior speaker erroneously? It is very unimaginable. I have been battered, smashed and extremely beaten a few times throughout the years yet I hushed up about this.

He had an opportunity to attack the kids after we isolated and he compellingly hushed up about them for 5months in year 2014 from July to November at Ado-Ekiti. I became acquainted with this when I saw release on my little girls clothing and torments in their private part while washing them on fourteenth April,2016.

Mr Adeseke Denies Molesting His Children and Beating His Wife

Last week, I posted a report from SDK Blog on this blog about Domestic violence and Rape Case of Mr Adeseke who have been alleged to have molested his children. You can read that here.

Consequently, several comments arose especially in EKSU where the man works and I personally received calls from his different people wanting to know if it was true or not.

Since then, I had been talking to different people about the issue seeking to know if it actually happened or not. During my survey, only one percent of students believed he could do that while the remaining percentage believed Mr Adeseke would not even try that. Although, most of them said he likes women. In fact, some of the students took it to themselves to write post declaiming the case as a scam.

Since it is not enough to hear from the students only, I personally went ahead to interview Mr Adeseke and you would be shocked to hear what Mr Adeseke has to say.
